Text messages
How customers choose to get texts from Customer Online Access.
When a customer signs up for Customer Online Access at their dealership, they sign an account agreement, online or on a printed form. The agreement has two choices side by side, each with its own YES and NO: online access, and text messages. Texting is optional and separate: nothing is ticked in advance, and the customer doesn't need it to get an account. NO means notices come by email.
On the agreement
This is the choice area of the agreement, the same online and on paper. The full terms, with links to our Terms and Privacy Policy, are on the same page above it.
On screen the customer taps one box in each column (the text-message column opens once they choose YES for online access). On paper they tick by pen, and staff record what was ticked.
What we send
Only to customers who opted in: one-time sign-in codes, and notices when the dealership adds documents to their account. No marketing. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
